In unity there is strength. The Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society draws its strength from its members. In order to accomplish its mission, The Martinet Society strives to recruit dedicated attorneys who desire to competently and sincerely advocate on behalf of public.  It is felt that prospective members should want to be a part of a legal organization that embodies public service and advancement of the legal profession. The Martinet Society exemplifies all of the qualities that a legal advocacy organization should possess. The Martinet Society works hand in hand with other organizations and groups in an effort to achieve similar goals. By promoting legal scholarship, it encourages strong educational values in our youth and educates them on the importance of the justice system. Most importantly, the Martinet Society understands the importance of giving back to the community. For it is the community’s faith in us, as attorneys, that determines our success.

Today, the Martinet Society is just as committed to its mission as the organization’s founders were in 1957. That mission being to encourage the interchange of ideas, promote legal scholarship, advance the science of jurisprudence, promote the administration of justice, uphold the order and ethics of the courts and the profession of law and promote the welfare of the legal profession in Louisiana. Some of the more recent events that were held to advance the mission of the Martinet Society are as follows.
