HONORABLE JUDGE PAMELA T.
JOHNSON
Juvenile Court
Judge Pamela Taylor
Johnson was born in Magnolia, Mississippi. She
obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree from
Jackson State University and her Juris Doctor
from Southern University Law Center. Prior to
being elected in 1994, she engaged in private
practice of law and served as General Counsel
for Louisiana Department of Education.
Within one year of
taking the bench in 1994, Judge Johnson
established the first Drug Court Program for
juveniles in the State of Louisiana and the
first mentoring program at Juvenile Court.
Judge Johnson is now servicing her fourth term
as Judge and continues to dedicate her life to
helping children through service and her love
for the law.
She is a life member
of the NAACP, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and
Jackson State Alumni Association. Judge Johnson
and her husband Ernest have two children.
